SENIOR CARE MINISTRIES

Our Mission is to demonstrate God’s unconditional love through offering a ministry of presence, practical resources, and compassionate support to Caregivers and the elderly of the Summit community in times of need.

Who are we serving?

Caregivers who care for a loved one in some capacity (i.e. spouse with dementia, child with special needs, incapacitated family member d/t injury/illness/medical condition etc.)

*Not limited by age of caregiver

All seniors 65 years and older.

What is offered?

Bi-monthly support group with bible study for Caregivers who care for a loved one in some capacity (i.e. spouse with dementia, child with special needs, incapacitated family member d/t injury/illness/medical condition etc.)

Services provided:

  • Household management: laundry, yard work/gardening, organizing, and general handyman services.
  • Home modifications: installing ramps, grab bars, and other safety devices.
  • Daily activities: housekeeping, grocery shopping, other errands, and meal prep.
  • Companionship: engaging in activities, providing conversation to care giver or loved one, and short duration respite for caregiver (allows them decompression, and time to go to apt’s etc.).
  • Transportation: rides to medical appointments, social events, or errands.
  • Meals: meal assistance during times of crisis and/or difficulty.

  • Caregiver leaders and pastors available for hospital visitation, phone calls, and prayer.
  • Caregiver group leader Jaimie as an ARNP at Sacred Heart Medical Center, available every other week for in house visitation/prayer/phone calls.
