What is Deeply Formed?

Deeply Formed is a 6 week series of gatherings where we engage our apprenticeship to Jesus through the study and practice of spiritual disciplines. Together, we learn to become a people who are marked by an inner spirit of restfulness and who are calm, at ease in our own body, unhurried, kind, and present.

What to Expect

A safe place to ask questions, learn and grow in our faith.

Deeply Formed is a friendly and informal environment to explore and live into the practices that have shaped and anchored apprentices to Jesus for over 2000 years.

No two Deeply Formed Gatherings will look the exact same, but they generally have 3 things in common; a meal, a teaching and good conversation.

A Meal

Every time we gather, we begin by sharing a meal together.

A Teaching

The teaching is designed to engage and inspire conversation, and is generally thirty minutes long. We will explore the specific spiritual practice and how we engage it, individually and collectively.

A Conversation

Probably the most important part: the chance to share thoughts and ideas on the practice, and discuss it in a small group. There’s no obligation to say anything, and there’s nothing you can’t say. It’s an opportunity to hear from others and contribute your own perspective in an honest, open and Christ-centered space.

Are you currently in a Summit Community Group?

Our Spring edition of Deeply Formed will be run simultaneously in both our Community Groups, and in a large group format on campus at Summit. If you are currently in a Summit Community Group, please plan on engaging the Deeply Formed practice in your Community Group and not as a part of the Monday large group. If you or your group has any questions, please reach out to seth@summitspokane.com and we can get you set up in the appropriate space.
