2026 City Serve

At Summit, our vision is to be in the city, for the city. We love Spokane and its people, and we’re committed to seeing our city thrive.

We believe that serving others is a biblical calling—one that blesses our community and deepens our own spiritual growth. Join us on Saturday, June 6, as we come together to serve, build gospel-centered community, and make a tangible impact in Spokane.

Serving Opportunities

This year, we’ll be serving alongside seven local organizations across Spokane.
All serving opportunities will take place on the morning of Saturday, June 6.

Union Gospel Mission

Women and Children’s Shelter, 9 – 11am

We will help UGM with some landscaping and beautifying projects.

Family-friendly (age 13+) opportunity.

Union Gospel Mission

UGM Thrift, 10am – 12pm

We will help UGM Thrift with sorting, cleaning and other thrift store tasks.

Family-friendly (age 13+) opportunity.

River Keepers

Mission Park, 10:30 – 11:30am

Volunteers will be provided gloves, trash grabber, and trash bags, and walk along the Spokane River and pick up trash.

Family-friendly (any age) opportunity.

Prayer Walk

Summit South, 10am – 11am

Volunteers will meet at Summit South, hear some vision and prayer prompts and head out for an easy walk.

Family-friendly opportunity, kids should be prepared to walk.

Generation Alive

Summit South, 10am – 12pm

Join the assembly line with Generation Alive at Summit South as we pack oatmeal packets for the Southside Food Pantry! No experience needed — just come ready to serve and have fun.

Family-friendly (school-age+) opportunity. Flexible serving pace with seated options

Family Promise

Logan Neighborhood, 10am – 12pm

Help with yard cleanup at a Family Promise property through tasks like raking, mowing, pruning, and weed eating. Gloves and equipment provided.

Southside Food Pantry

Southside Food Pantry, 9:45am – 12:30pm

Volunteers will either be loading carts and assisting clients to their cars or helping other volunteers load their carts before heading out to the parking lot.

Habitat For Humanity

Habitat Home Build, 8:15am – 12pm

Join Habitat during their annual Blitz Build as we help build safe, affordable homes alongside Habitat families. No experience needed — just a willingness to serve!

Bite2Go

Summit South, 10 – 11am

Volunteers will be participating in an assembly line putting together fun summer bags for kids and families that participate in the Bite2Go program to take home on the last day of school.

Family-friendly (age 6+) opportunity.

  1. Once you have chosen your opportunity to serve, click Details + Register
  2. You will be asked to submit a phone number or email address.
  3. Once submitted, a code will be sent to you. Enter this code online.
  4. Select participants and pick a project for each participant, then click Next
  5. Update your personal information, as needed, then click Submit
  6. Review and complete your registration
