JOIN US IN-PERSON

We can’t wait to see you!

At Summit Cheney, our in-person gatherings serve as a supplement to our online experience.

We have a 5:30pm in-person gathering available Sunday evenings
at Cheney Community Church, 1307 3rd St.

Register for 5:30pm Gathering

This is going to look different.

In-person gatherings are “family style” where children of all ages sit together with their parents/guardians for the duration of the service.  Age-appropriate activities for children are provided at the beginning of the service.

Our in-person gatherings consist of worship, prayer, communion (pre-packaged), stories of life change, and a short message.  We recognize both the beauty and challenges that “family style” church presents and our intention is for the in-person gathering to be as engaging as possible for all ages. The shortened message is specifically designed to build upon the online church experience message and not to replace it.

During this unique season we recognize there are varying levels of comfort regarding in-person gatherings.  Our hope is that everyone who calls Summit Cheney “home” feels loved, cared for, and a part of our community whether they attend online services, in-person gatherings, or both.

BEFORE YOU ATTEND

We think there are a few things you should know before you attend any in-person gatherings at Summit.

  • Registration

If you plan to attend, registration is required. This is to ensure we’re following the state mandated building occupancy.

  • Masks Required

Masks will be required the entire time you are in the building. If you are unable to wear a mask, we ask that you attend church online.

  • Temporal Scans

Upon arrival one of our team members will check you in and take a quick temporal scan temperature of each person.

  • Social Distancing

Seating will be adapted to accommodate social distancing. You will only be seated with your family and/or roommates that you register with.

WHAT SUMMIT IS DOING TO PREPARE FOR IN-PERSON GATHERINGS

  • Limited Seating
To ensure adequate physical distancing, we are limiting the number of people in the chapel to 175 at one time

  • Physical Distancing (6ft requirement)
Proper physical distancing will be adhered to in service for your protection. Please follow distancing requirements throughout the building. Gather outside the church if you are comfortable to do so in the open air.

  • Masks
As per the Governor’s directive, mask or face covering use required for ages five and older. Please bring your own face covering. If you don’t have one, one will be provided for you.

  • Hand Sanitizer Stations
Stations with hand sanitizers are provided throughout the church. Hand washing is proven to be more effective, so please don’t substitute hand sanitizer for regular and thorough hand washing.

  • Increased cleaning
Portions of the building, specifically the commons, chapel and bathrooms are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized before, between, and after services.

  • Touchless Environment
No fresh sheets or other items will be handed out and offering bags will not be passed during service. Entry and exit doors will be opened for you by a member of our hospitality team and drinking fountains will be turned off.
