The Legacy Team is a group at Summit Church for those gifted with generosity, committed to giving above and beyond to strengthen our church, invest in the next generation, and expand our impact in the city.
What a joy it is to serve as the lead pastor of Summit Church! I’m continually amazed by the way God is moving in and through our community. From launching Summit U in 2018, to sending Pastor David to plant Brighthill Church this fall, God is doing something big. In the last year alone we’ve seen ____ take their next step with Jesus and get baptized, from 6 year olds to 70 year olds. We believe God is not done!
My prayer is that this team would continue to help fuel that mission, making an eternal impact through Spirit-led generosity. I’m so grateful you’ve taken the time to be here and hear my heart. I’d love for you to prayerfully consider joining us on this journey.

The Legacy Team is an opportunity at Summit Church for those who are called and gifted to help build God’s Kingdom, impact our community and serve our church with the gift of Spirit-led and strategic financial giving. Our hope for Legacy Team members is not equal giving but equal sacrifice.
Legacy Team members gratefully recognize that God has given them the spiritual gift of generosity along with the resources to make an eternal impact for generations to come. Each member prayerfully commits to give over and above their regular tithe to leave a lasting legacy.
How is Summit’s Legacy Team different from the annual Vision Offering?
The annual Vision Offering supports Summit’s 10-year vision, which includes future campuses and church plants, outreach through local and global partners, innovative approaches to discipleship and general campus renovation. Much of this giving is directed outside the walls of Summit Church to advance Kingdom work beyond us.
The Legacy Team, on the other hand, focuses on high-impact opportunities within Summit—projects that strengthen our facilities, invest in the next generation, and expand our ability to serve our city well. While the Vision Offering expresses generous, wide-reaching impact, the Legacy Team ensures we are building a lasting foundation right here at home.
We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us.
If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith;
if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach;
if it is to encourage, then give encouragement;
if it is giving, then give generously;
if it is to lead; do it diligently;
if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.

Join the team and hear Pastor Grant’s vision for the upcoming year. Each legacy campaign will fall into one of two categories: Campus Improvements or Generational Impact. We ask each team member for a year-long commitment: August-July.
Pray.
Seek the Spirit and discern the amount and campaign to which you feel led to give.
Give.
Participate in one or more of the yearly campaigns and watch how the Lord uses your generosity to move the mission of Summit forward!
At Summit our Legacy Team has two lanes of impact which provide clarity, intentionality, and focus for team members. Each year there will be 3-5 specific opportunities within these two lanes that Summit’s Legacy Team will look to fund outside of our normal operating budget.
Lane 1: Campus Improvements
Goal: To keep our buildings and facilities in pace with our church growth to best serve our community, while working toward a debt-free position.Examples: Summit U Kids space remodel, Summit South storage project, safety & security
Lane 2: Generational Impact
Goal: To intentionally provide opportunities, resources and financial stability for the next generation of leaders through Summit.
Examples: Summit Endowment fund, Summit Residency program, training/conferences for young leaders
Summit Endowment: $25,000- $50,000
An endowment is a way of securing the future of our church’s mission. By creating a permanent fund, it will allow those a part of the Summit family to give financial assets such as stocks, bonds, personal property, etc. The endowment fund will ensure that resources will always be available to support future ministry. It’s a commitment to long-term stability—so that generations to come can worship, grow, and be sent out from a healthy, thriving church.
Security Updates: $25,000
As we continue to grow and welcome more people into our Summit family, it is vital that our spaces remain safe, secure, and welcoming for all who walk through our doors. We are seeking to invest in key security and safety upgrades such as key fob door locks on the commons and hallway doors leading to the kids space, exterior cameras and developing a safety team. This will allow us to better care for our children and families, and steward our facilities responsibly. These improvements are not just practical—they are an expression of our commitment to creating an environment where people can encounter Jesus with peace of mind and confidence.
2026 Residency: $52,000
The Summit Residency campaign is all about investing in the next generation of leaders. With your support, we’ll be able to fund two part-time salaries for young leaders, giving them the chance to gain real ministry experience and intentional training. Our heart is to raise them up so that one day we can send them out – in alignment with our 10 year vision – to pastor within our family of 5 churches.
Exterior Storage: $75,000
Our hope for the upcoming year is to fund a new, secure exterior storage solution. Our current sheds are outdated, undersized, and frequently broken into—limiting our ability to care for ministry resources well. By building a new pole building in the Northeast corner of our property, we can repurpose the current interior storage room in the MPR into an additional classroom, creating more room for kids on Sundays and midweek gatherings for discipleship and community. This project isn’t just about storage—it’s about expanding the capacity of our church to welcome, teach, and equip more people to come to, grow in, and live for Jesus.
